The Edo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Prince Kassim Afegbua, has expressed the Ministry’s readiness to promote all aspects of government activities aimed at showcasing the ‘SHINE’ Agenda of the Governor Monday Okpebholo-led administration for the repositioning of the State.

The Commissioner made this known during a courtesy visit by the management team of the Edo State Digital Governance and Data Management Agency (EdoDiDa), who were in his office in Benin City to seek collaboration and possible partnership with the Ministry.

Welcoming the delegation, Prince Afegbua reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening collaboration among Government Agencies and Parastatals for effective service delivery. He emphasized that such synergy would project the State Government in a positive light while driving socio-economic growth and development.

The Commissioner assured EdoDiDa of the Ministry’s full support towards creating awareness and realizing the Agency’s mandate and the objectives of the courtesy visit.

Similarly, the Functioning Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Rose Imonike, appreciated the team for the visit and commended EdoDida for its innovative initiatives.

Speaking earlier, the Acting Managing Director of EdoDiDa Agency, Mr. Patrick Ikpato, appreciated the Ministry for the warm reception and sought collaboration in advancing the Agency’s ongoing platforms and projects. These include Edo Business Connect — a platform linking MSMEs for seamless business interactions –and OneEdo, an integrated web-based portal connecting all Edo State MDAs to provide easy access to Government information and services.

He noted that both platforms have been developed and hosted on the Edo State Government’s official server, awaiting final approval for full launch. Mr. Ikpato further stressed that collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Strategy would help publicize these innovations and enhance citizen engagement with Government programmes.
