
His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the advancement of education in the state. Governor Okpebholo has embarked on an ambitious project to develop the state’s education infrastructure. He has built 65 schools and has several other schools under renovation and construction across the state. Furthermore, the Governor has increased the subvention for Ambrose Alli University (AAU) from 41 million naira to 500 million naira, and Edo State University, Iyamho, from 25 million naira to 250 million naira. These increases are expected to enhance the teaching and learning experience in the universities and promote academic excellence.
Governor Okpebholo has also employed 6,000 teachers to address the shortage of teaching staff in schools, ensuring that students receive quality education. The Governor plans to recruit more teachers to strengthen the workforce and make a lasting impact on the education sector.
