Senator Ndume congratulates Revd Mohzo on re-election as COCIN President, charges him to promote harmony among people

Ex-Senate Leader, Ali Ndume has congratulated Rev Dr Amos Musa Mohzo, on his re-election as the President of the Church Of Christ In Nations (COCIN).

Rev Dr Amos Musa Mohzo, who emerged as President of the association in 2021, was re-elected last week to serve a fresh mandate of four years.
Senator Ndume who incidentally is from Gwoza in Borno South Senatorial district, as the COCIN President, described his re-election as a testimony to his diligence, leadership acumen and trust earned over the years among his peers in the vineyard of the Lord.

The Federal lawmaker urged the COCIN President to continue to use the platform to promote inter-religious harmony amongst people of all faiths.
He said: “I have known you over the years as a humble, God fearing personality which informed your divine calling.

“I have showed interest in your career trajectory over the years.

“You have remained an asset to our community in Gwoza where you started early in life, imparting knowledge, mentoring people as a trained teacher.

“As COCIN Deputy General Secretary, later the General Secretary, Vice President and President, your enviable records speak volumes.

“Your unassuming disposition gives credence to the saying that “he who humbles himself, will be exalted, and whoever exalts himself, will be humbled.”

“At this critical moment in the life of our nation where external forces are trying to promote false narrative to instigate religious crisis, among our people, the experience of managing diverse people which God has given you will come handy.

“I urge you and others in leadership positions of faiths based associations in the country to seize the initiative to assist the government in promoting mutual trust amongst Nigerians of diverse faiths.”
