
The Commissioner for Environment and Sustainability, Barr. Nosa Adams, has assured members of the Elderly Persons Association of Nigeria (EPAN) of the Ministry’s continued support for their activities and welfare.
He gave the assurance when a delegation of the association paid him a courtesy visit in Benin City to congratulate him on his appointment and seek assistance ahead of their forthcoming national convention.
Barr. Adams expressed appreciation for the visit and pledged full support for the association’s programs, acknowledging the vital role of the elderly in community development. He also promised to work closely with the group to ensure their voices are heard and their welfare prioritized.
The commissioner urged the association to continue supporting the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo, reaffirming the government’s commitment to building a society that values and cares for its senior citizens.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation, Hon. Chief Eddy Ogbomo, commended the Commissioner for his proactive leadership, humility, and respect for elders, describing him as a long-standing friend and supporter of the elderly.
